Following our recent announcement regarding the FAA’s potential reduction in flights due to the ongoing government shutdown, we want to ensure you’re equipped with tools to proactively manage any travel disruptions that may occur.
One such resource is the Instant Query feature within DecisionSource® Reporting, which allows travel managers to quickly identify and communicate with travelers impacted by flight changes or cancellations in real time.
Here’s how you can leverage Instant Query during high-impact travel events:
1. Identify affected travelers instantly
Access your Booked Flight Incident query and select the travel dates you’d like to monitor (for example, the next two weeks). Within seconds, you’ll see a list of all travelers scheduled to fly during that period.
2. Communicate directly with impacted travelers
Once your query results appear, use the Email Enablement function to send messages directly to travelers, individually or in bulk. This makes it easy to share important updates, such as reminders to check airline notifications, use TripSource® for real-time alerts, or review updated itineraries.
3. Target specific flight cancellations or carriers
If you know the specific flight number or carrier that’s been affected, you can further refine your search by filtering the results (for example, by carrier code and flight number). This helps you immediately locate and notify only those travelers impacted by that particular incident.
Additionally, we encourage you to remind your travelers to download and use TripSource®, which provides real-time flight updates, delay notifications, and itinerary details all in one place. This ensures travelers stay informed and connected throughout their journey.
These tools together provide a fast, efficient way to support travelers during unexpected disruptions, helping your team maintain proactive communication and reduce stress for your travelers.
